WPSL ready for growth

With the next step in the evolution of the sport in the form of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) just months away, the effect has been felt not just in this country but all over the world. After the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) held in Las Vegas, NV last weekend, the national women's soccer league showed it was ready to roll with the changes.
Former Associate League Commissioner Joe Ferrara has had his duties elevated, and will now serve as the WPSL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the 50-plus team league. Andy Sones of the Millburn Magic (East Conference) - founder of SONESOCCER, YPSL Commissioner & former youth player in the English Premier League (EPL) with Charlton Athletic - will take over Ferrara's duties as East Commissioner.
Fresh off his induction into the USASA Region IV Hall of Fame, League Commissioner Jerry Zanelli - and the member teams present at the WPSL AGM - were all in favor of the further evolution of the national women's soccer league with these new appointments.
