Is WPS misleading potential sponsors?

In its "Los Angeles Sol Signs Brazilian Superstar Marta" press release the league states "Umea has captured the Swedish league title three times (2005, 2006 and 2007) since her arrival, and took the UEFA Champions League crown in 2004 and a runner-up finish in 2007. In addition, they have drawn an average of nearly 10,000 fans per home game, easily best in the league."
Wait a minute, Marta's former club, Umea IK, averaged about 1,700 at home this season and NEVER averaged more then 3,000.
This is easily verifiable with a two minute phone call to Sweden. So, are they sloppy or sinister?
