Laura Kerrigan 'looking forward' to coaching high school

Not too many high school women's soccer hires raise an eyebrow when announced, but then again, there aren't many high school women's soccer coaches who can say they've been a head coach in the ACC for 11 seasons.
Such is the case with the new coach at Cary, former N.C. State coach Laura Kerrigan.
Kerrigan spent the last 11 years as head coach of her alma mater. She posted an 87-107-16 overall record but resigned on Nov. 3, citing that the personal strain of college coaching had become too much.
