Jersey Sky Blue out, Long Island in

With the United Soccer Leagues W-League regular season completed Sunday, playoff pairings were announced and play-in games set for Wednesday with conference tournaments scheduled for this weekend.

In the Central Conference, the Toronto Lynx and the Laval Comets will face off Wednesday at Centennial Park Stadium with the winner advancing to the conference tournament this weekend in Indianapolis with the Chicago Gaels, Ottawa Fury and the host FC Indiana in the field.

In the Eastern Conference, the Long Island Rough Riders will host the Boston Renegades Wednesday wth the winner joining the host Atlanta Silverbacks, Charlotte Lady Eagles and the defending league champion Washington Freedom at Silverbacks Park in their conference tournament.

Finally, in the Western Conference, the 2008 W-League regular season champion Pali Blues await the winner of Wednesday's semifinal showdown at Swangard Stadium between the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Seattle Sounders and will play them in Pacific Palisades, CA next Sunday.

Conference champions advance to the W-League Championship Tournament July 31 and August 2 in Virginia Beach, VA.
