Courtney Verloo connected in the first half and Kristen Mewis added another goal in the closing moments as the United States Under-17 National Team knocked off Jersey Sky Blue 2-0 in an exhibition match at Pascack Valley High School. US keepers Taylor Vancil and Alexa Gaul split the shutout in goal.
The US U-17s held a 19-5 advantage in shots as Sky Blue failed to find the back of the net for the fourth straight game including two W-League regular season matches and two exhibition matches.
