WPSL match abandoned

A Women's Premier Soccer League match, played Saturday afternoon in Chicago, between River Cities and Chicago Breeze was abandoned in the 72nd minute after players from both teams clashed on the field.
The referee immediately abandoned the match. The teams never came back out on the field.
It was not immediately clear whether the result would stand or what WPSL's response was.
