For the first time in five seasons, the Fury will not be going to the W-League Championship Final Four. A Christie Welsh goal in the 24th minute was enough to send the Washington Freedom, 1-0, to next weekend’s finals in Rochester, NY as the Eastern Conference champions. The Freedom will join the Atlanta Silverbacks, Seattle Sounders and host Rochester Rhinos in the final four.
