Wisonsin coach steps down

Dean Duerst, the winningest coach in University of Wisconsin women's soccer history, stepped down abruptly Friday, ending a 19-year relationship with the program.
A statement released late Friday afternoon by the UW stated Duerst resigned to pursue other interests. It is unclear whether the sides parted amicably.
