North Carolina 0, Mexico WNT 1

Mexico controlled the pace, using deft passing and the right touch on long balls to stay on the offensive most of the game.
While the Lady Tar Heels had chances, including Sterling Smith's shot high over the goal from inside the 6-yard box, it was the Mexicans who excelled.
Mexico scored the winning goal in the second half when Luz del Rosario Saucedo Soto slotted the ball to the far post past the North Carolina goalkeeper for a 1-0 lead.
